Why consistent learning has immense benefits

My personal development financial journey began after arriving back in the U.S. after teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) in Hungary for the 2015 calendar school year.  After traveling and having new experiences, I felt it was a great time to reflect and gain perspective on new information that could be used as a benefit of keeping my brain healthy but also in both my professional career and personal life.

I began utilizing free resources such as the local library where I would check out books on business, personal development, mindset, behavior and finance.  I found that the ‘wealth’ of knowledge that I was receiving lent itself to additional tools and resources, such as TED Talks and business acumen.  I even felt inspired to write a memoir about my time and experience spent in Hungary and obtain an MBA to get more familiar with the administration side of business.

But beyond all of that, I noticed that it was important to never stop learning as a means of growing and developing.  What types of skills could I learn or additionally develop if there was something I started but not finished?  Books, I found, were gateways into rectifying bad habits or reminders of positive attributes.  Highlighting an important line or folding over a page corner to use at a later date for something relevant was essential.

As a new business owner, I aim to take all of this adopted knowledge from all resources and provide it to clients as a way for them to help themselves.  I feel that giving back has become a staple in the way that I conduct myself and business, but more importantly, if there’s something that can help someone reach their full potential, I would love to help.
